 Welcome to Motley Junction
Description

This line up was in Model Rail some years ago. I like the Anglia livery!

.

I liked the EWS Manager’s Train so what would a Motley version look like? It would be painted in EWS colours. The loco is a double ended Hornby HST, the passenger carriage is a Hornby early Mk II with the windows made larger. The sleeper is a Hornby Mk 1 as is the restaurant car with its windows enlarged. The DVT is the blunt ends of an HST joined together on a shortened Hornby HST chassis. At times it includes an old Tri-ang TC caboose in EWS colours. The loco is named Lord Nelson and the DVT Lady H

Description
Motley High Speed NR train. Shortened HST power car. DVT is an Mk IV with an HST cab. The 101 is used as a DVT on Mk II coaches. The HST has yellow Hornby short Mk III coaches in NR yellow with appropriate transfers..
Description
The Hornby Toy Story train. I have added a tender to the loco which means it now makes sense. Hornby couplings were added to the rolling stock and the Toy Story ‘stars’ removed from the top of the wagons or freightcars if we are talking American!.
Description
This is the Motley Junction NR train. Motive power, two Hornby early-type 08’s..
Description
The train consists of two very early Tri-ang bogie coaches where the roofs have been glued down as they tend to warp. They have Lima bogies. The DVT is a much shortened Tri-ang Blue Pullman trailer car that was damaged. Featured on Motley Terminal..
Description
The Motley Junction Royal Train. I have the other Royal 0-4-0’s that the Hornby Club have produced..
Description
Motley version of the FM Rail Blue Pullman. Honby repainted 47, Hornby Mk II coaches with a Mark IV DVT. The two Restaurant Cars are Tri-ang Hornby. Photographed on the old Garden Railing hence the ‘lumpy’ track.
Description
Brighton Belle. Wrenn power cars with Hornby Pullmans. I have some Hornby-Dublo Pullmans and some Wrenn ones. Again, on old Garden Railway.

A Tri-ang version of part of the Churchill Funeral Train.
Description
A view of the  BR maroon HST on the 6-track outdoor railway..
Description
A full length Blue Pullman in BR green and black as first suggested by BR. Short Mk IIIHornby coaches used.
Description
Virgin HST loco & Virgin MK II’s. The HST should have buffers which those used to be DVT’s with the Class 91 trials had. Could appear in the workshop soon.
Description
A Deltic was hired by Virgin in the early years of its existence but it didn’t get painted up in Virgin colours.
Description
Pursuing the idea of if BR had liked Sherwood Green on coaching stock. The coaches are old Airfix/Dapol MK II D’s bought years ago from Hattons for £10 each.
Description
The LMS stream lined train must have looked stunning both in blue or red. All Hornby.
Description
The old Hornby HST has been shortened to match the length of the short Hornby MKIII’s used in the NR HST train; the Motley version..
Description
The Motley NR HST has the HST loco (above) and because it’s just 5-coaches it has a DVT at the other end which is an HST cab and a MK IV DVT body.
Description
Now NR has no money and very, very big debts! Using a loco at each  end on its trains is expensive so it collects the 101 DMU’s when withdrawn, does a minimum refit and they are transformed to a DVT. Motley magic.
Description
When Fragonset had quite a lot of work on the rail network with the SERCO train. Two Tri-ang 31’s. I ended up buying another Hornby SECRO set for a longer train. Pictured on the old two-track garden railway.
Description
BR Green HST with Sherwood Green short Hornby MK III coaches. This was finished in spring 2016 a year after the BR Maroon HST set and the Black/BR Green Blue Pullman rake and the MK IID’s in Sherwood. The delay was I couldn’t find a cheap Restaurantcar (£5) at the Toy Fairs I attended.
Description
Tri-ang Davey Crocket with the Hornby Toy Story stock with Hornby couplings.
Description
Model Power train. No longer produced.
Description
Tri-ang Davey Crocket train. Some coaches repainted and have steps missing.
Description
Hornby Toy Story passenger train. Tender added to the engine.
Description
